I am Cheri Janes, Pierce and I am the granddaughter to Arthur S. Janes. If you would like I can provide information about my grandpa. My grandpa gave me papers with the names of the people I have found here on this site and I am so happy that it all makes sense here as all I have is names and not much of who went with who. The picture on here of William Louis Janes and Mary Ellen Janes was my grandpa's parents. I remember seeing a picture like this in my grandpa's home up on his china cabinet. Grandpa looked a lot like his father William. My grandpa was born in Astoria Illinois on March 27th, 1897 and I took care of him in my home as he had Bone Cancer and died at my home on December 08th, 1989. He was a really sweet person and a real gentleman and I loved him very much.
